Portal looks at the idea of discovering a new space inside your head. This was what going to art college felt like for me, like finding a new room in your house that you didn't know was there. I chose to build this in the doorway of my daughter's room who had recently left home leaving an empty space in my house. 

  For the degree show the portal moved to the studio space and developed into a more three dimensional sculpture further exploring what it meant to be finding my voice as an artist.
